Marty’s Cigar of the Week – Partagas No. 10

The Partagas No. 10 is a mild Double Corona cigar that will satisfy your desire for a light, easygoing smoke that draws well. The secret of today’s rich Partagas cigars lies in their wrapper leaves. Grown in Cameroon, the Central West African country where the steaming, sub-tropical climate unique to the fourth parallel is ideal for growing superb wrapper leaves, Cameroon wrappers have no equals for rich flavor. Indeed, Ramón Cifuentes determined that he could begin producing his Partagas cigars again only after he had discovered, years after the Cuban embargo had begun, that the best wrapper leaves were being grown in Cameroon rather than in Cuba. Rated 87 (very good to excellent) in Cigar Aficionado Feb 2008.

If you are like me and my wife we could not wait until Domenico’s open it’s doors.  We have been going with my wife’s grandmother to the original store in Pasadena for years and really like their pizza and antipasto salad.  So as soon as I found out that they were open I called my wife and said we have a change of plans for dinner.  Wanting to see how close to the original they are and we ordered the Big D pizza which comes with almost everything on it and the antipasto salad.  The food and the service was very good, the thing that I like the best is that I can call ahead and they will have it ready for me to eat.  So if you are planning to go their during lunch time I would suggest calling you order in so you can take time to enjoy the food.
